It all started when…

Rebecca Shepherd has more than 10 years’ experience in the media industry, having gained her NCTJ and BA Hons degree in Multi-media Journalism in 2014. She jumped straight into the sector as a local news reporter for the print newspaper, The Surrey Advertiser and the website, Get Surrey.

Two years later she undertook her NQJ Diploma in Journalism, certifying her as a Senior Journalist. From there she moved into a full-time position at Hearst Magazines as a Senior Digital Writer where she stayed for three years.

In 2019, she left to go freelance and specialise in writing digital and print health and lifestyle content. Becks now has bylines in several media outlets including Marie Claire, Women’s Health, The Telegraph, Stylist, Evening Standard, Fit & Well, Tom’s Guide, Live Science, Good Housekeeping and more.
